6 Months

Turning 6 months is a big milestone and I'm feeling like I need to write something really interesting. I'm at a loss...too much pressure I think. She did have her six month check up yesterday. Little Gemma is not so little anymore! She weighs 17.4 and is 26 inches long. At four months, she was in the 50th percentile for height and 70th for weight. Now she's in the 70th and 75th respectively. See Dad (Grandpa)...she's growing into her thighs :)
All jokes aside...Gemma is perfect, healthy, and growing strong.

The newest development...rolling from her back to her tummy. It took her all of half a day to figure out she could roll from one side of the room to another. I can already tell she'll be a handful when she figures out how to crawl. It's so fun to see her change and learn new things. Katie Moe is going to be taking her 6 month pictures next week, so stay tuned!

Mother's Day

Hard to believe I didn't even know Gemma last year. She's been here for only 6 months, and yet life without her seems like an eternity ago. Yesterday was Mother's Day, and what an honor it is to be Gemma's mom! Being a mom has given me a whole new love and admiration for my own mom.

Bouncing

Until recently she hasnt' liked her jumperoo at all...I think she finally figured out what she was supposed to do.
She has started teething, and last night was really rough. Daddy had to run out at 2:30 a.m. to buy some Tylenol, and I only managed to get 3 hours of sleep. Once she had a little Tylenol, she slept great and of course woke up all refreshed and happy...I wish I could say the same for me.

Easily entertained

Gemma has a new favorite toy. Small, easy to hold, easy to put in mouth, makes noise...What's not to love!

Easter

I had to sing for Easter service so I was gone from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. Daddy had to get Gemma ready in her easter outfit all by himself...which included tights! He did a fabulous job! She looked as cute as a button and he even got to church on time. I'm excited for next year when she can actually participate in an easter egg hunt.
